FROM RAP TO RICHES

As I was watching Ludacris rappin’ in one of his music videos, I can’t help but admire his lyrical skills, the way he utter the words is too way cool. Actually, there are a lot of rappers in the hip hop industry possessing unique abilities when it comes to bustin’ a rhyme. Many are asking why I like listening to rap music ‘coz for them it’s not music anymore. Man, that ain’t their business! (lolz) Well, it’s been a part of me. The beats are sick and the lyrics portray the reality of life. Most of them represent the positive as well as political side of the ghetto life.

Rappers are often misunderstood. They have been called with various names where most are “unpleasant”. Unfortunately, this is just the result of the new identity of the ghettoes that has appeared in the opposition to the mainstream culture. And now, it becomes a worldwide phenomenon. Actually, the gangsta’ identity both portrays the drama of the streets and at the same time merchandising violent and radical rhymes. But whatever that is, I’m sure that rappers are just trying to express their freedom and share their experiences. Come on, it’s one of their outlet to release the feelings whether it is about pain or contentment.

In fact, through rappin’ there are people who became rich and famous. So their drama is like “from rap to riches”. Many of them have been known due to their amazing rap tracks and one of the good examples is Jay Z. Surely, everyone knows this guy. He’s the one who gave us the songs “99 problems”, “hard knock life”, “dead presidents”, “Nigga’ what, Nigga who” and more. But for some who still don’t know about this guy, he’s Beyonce Knowles’ fiancé. And sku’ me Jay Z or Shawn Corey Carter in real life is actually the richest hip hop entertainer having a net-worth estimate of $600 million. No wonder he also owns the phattest fly whips ever been launched in the car industry. And most of these rides are also shown in some of his music videos.

Jay Z’s music videos are awesome, one good reason? The cars that he uses. One of these rides is the luxurious Maybach Exelero which is featured in his “Lost Ones” vid. Here’s the evidence.

Maybach Excelero

“The Maybach high-performance show car “Exelero” was unveiled to the world for the first time this afternoon in the Tempodrom in Berlin. The 700-hp two-seater with a V-12 biturbo engine is a unique custom model produced for Fulda Reifenwerke, which is using the Maybach Exelero as a reference vehicle for a newly developed generation of wide tyres. The German manufacturer of luxury cars built the unique model as a modern interpretation of its legendary streamlined sports car from the 1930s, thereby forging a link with the historical predecessor, which at that time was likewise based on a powerful Maybach automobile (SW 38) and used by Fulda for tyre tests.

The Exelero embodies the highest expression to date of the Maybach individualisation strategy of offering specific custom solutions on request. In initial tests on the high-speed track in Nardo (Italy), the unique vehicle reached a top speed of 351.45 km/h (FIA*-standard unit of measurement). Developers at Maybach designed the custom model with the participation of students from Pforzheim College. The Exelero was built by the prototype specialists at Stola in Turin (Italy). There are no plans to produce the model in series.”
