In 2010, the VW up is scheduled to make its debut and will compete with an emerging army of chic, eco-friendly small vehicles like the Fiat 500. It was displayed as a concept last Frankfurt Motor Show. The VW Up has a super-compact rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive power train and is expected to have a new environment-friendly features and promises to have a low CO2 emission.

Actually, the final version will be significantly maintaining all the remarkable style of the concept. On its front fascia, the VW up has acquire the headlight style of Golf and the reprofiled bumper with a redesigned air intakes as well as integrated indicators. VW Up! will get petrol or diesel guises, and have a capacity of around 600cc. Both units are likely to be turbocharged, and VW is targeting CO2 emissions of less than 100g/km and combined fuel economy of 94mpg. A 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor is under consideration, too.

This new VW automobile will be the first ever version to go on sale, but with a basic vehicle designed for the enraging market like India, Russia and China that costs as little as $8,000. Buyers that will have this car will get unique goodies like the climate control, and carry a price tag of around $15,000. The final, production-ready VW up! is expected to make its world debut at a major motor show next year.
